ClubLeadership Plan (6/13/2007)

At the June 13, 2007 membership meeting, and at the Board meeting which preceded it, Arlene Radden presented the Club Leadership Plan.

The Club Leadership Plan is a plan of organization which smaller clubs are being urged to employ to help ensure their longevity and vitality. RI has been testing it throughout the world between 2001 and 2005, and introduced it formally in 2006. It offers a process to

  1. Develop a long-range plan
  2. Simplify committee structure
  3. Involve all club members
The Plan has four pillars:
  1. Sustain and increase membership
  2. Implement successful service projects
  3. Support the Rotary Foundation
  4. Develop leadership above club level
Committee structure would be less fragmented -- fewer committees, greater committee membership.
